Hello! Firstly, congratulations.
Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer, I am so very excited to be apart of your day. Many of these points will often arise as we discuss your timeline however
to help make this day as fun, stress free and smooooth as possible I have provided some little tips and tricks.
Getting Ready
We will arrange based on the timings of your day a time for me to show up on the morning.
Depending on where both sides are getting ready will determine how much photography coverage I can get on both sides therefore the closer you are together in the getting ready aspect of the day, the more likely both sides will be able to be captured.
If one side is not interested in getting ready photos, I will tend to meeting at the church before hand and get some before the ceremony.
Flat Lay
Flat lays as you can see at the top are a photo of the details of your day.
I will often ask for such details to be placed together before my arrival to allow for a quick shot before these are used.
For brides these often contain: Perfume, Jewelry, invites, shoes, flowers, letters, any sentimental items
For grooms these often contain: Tie, aftershave, watches, vows etc...
Dress shot
Get a family member to bring some nice coat hangers!
If practical I will take a shot of the dress(es) before they go on.
However, no one wants to see the black plastic M&S hanger & it is something often forgotten about.
Group & Family Portraits
The photos for your gran to put up on her mantle piece!
I aim to make these as stress free as possible whilst ensuring you have the shots you wish to have.
To do this, I will ask the couple to make a list of essential formal shots.
(This does not have to be miles long as there will always be lots of lovely candid and group photo oppurtunities throughout the day.)
I will then ask the couple to assign a organised and trusted member of the bridal party/ family member to have this list of people. This means that whilst photos are being taken, this individual is able to grab people for the next photo making the process as smooth as possible.
Whole wedding party photos are something I tend to avoid. I feel candid photos of guest throughout the day are a much better portrait of the wedding, rather than distrupting the flow of the day.
